Threats from natural disasters to terrorist attacks can not be prevented from happening, but

Critical Infrastructure can be protected more efficiently. The EU Directive 2008/114/EC already

pushes towards an efficient protection of National Critical Infrastructures in Europe but the

protection of vulnerable industry sectors remain a challenging task. Specialists from public

authorities, from technical, medical and military support forces as well as specialists from the

private sector in Energy, Transport, ICT and Public Security will meet

at the European Event "Protection of National Critical Infrastructures in Europe -Energy • Transport • ICT • Public Security" the dates from the 31st January till the 1st February 2011 in Berlin (Ger).
